Hello! I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. Today students shared what they are thankful for and some of their favorite holiday traditions. Many students are thankful for family, friends, and having what they need to be healthy kids. It sounds like many of you have fun plans and family traditions in store for the break. Enjoy every minute of it. Safe travels to those of you visiting family.
Hello Parents,
Today is the last day of our school week. There is no school tomorrow due to conferences. The book fair will be open from 10-4 tomorrow, so come check it out if you haven't had a chance yet. Next week will be a short week due to Thanksgiving. Because of this there is no spelling next week. We have a couple of things going on at our school to help out those in need as we approach the holiday season: 1. Holiday sharing- this is a program where each classroom supports a child in need this holiday season. We have been bringing in money for the past week, thank you to those of you that have donated so far. Our class has raised $36.00 so far. Our goal was to raise $70.00 by Monday 11/21. If your child hasn't donated yet, please consider letting them do some extra chores around the house to earn money to donate. \ 2. Our food drive will be next week on Monday and Tuesday. Go through your cupboards with your child and help them choose a few items to donate. Canned food, boxed food and toiletries are wonderful donations. Thanks in advance for your help with these opportunities. Finally, colder weather is going to be here as of this weekend. Please make sure your child is coming to school with the appropriate gear for outside. Students do go outside every day for recess, and will go out occasionally for PE. Coats, hats, gloves and boots are a good idea as the weather gets colder. Once the snow flies, snow pants will be required on the playground. Please help your child come prepared! Have a wonderful weekend! Today we had an awesome visit from the Vikings mascot Viktor and some of the Vikings cheerleaders. They spent time this morning teaching us about how to STOP Bullying. STOP stands for
Stand Up Take Action Open Up Protect Yourself Their message to our students was a wonderful reminder of things we can all do to prevent and stop bullying in it's tracks. Ask your child about this wonderful assembly! Hello Parents,

Have a great weekend! We had a wonderful opportunity on Friday to read on Trojan Field. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, and we had great books in our hands. It really doesn't get much better than that! Ask your child about this fun experience!
Happy Homecoming! Today was such a fun day! We had a chance to meet our 2nd grade buddies. Together we made Trojan hats to wear to the parade. After lunch we headed out to the parade. What a fun thing to have go right by our school. Our class worked together to collect a bunch of candy. This afternoon we had a few football players drop by to play Math Mania with us. It was so much fun, and we even got to know the players a little too.
